Head Teachers' Training

Agami Education Foundation (AEF) has successfully completed a four-day ‘Head Teachers’ Training.’ This training was held on 07-10 December 2019, at the AEF office in Kalabagan and was inaugurated by Shawkat Hossain, Vice President of AEF. The training was arranged with a view to enhance the understanding of the participants about school management and leadership qualities. A total of 10 head teachers from Agami supported schools participated in the training.

Mokarram Hossain Shokrana, the head teacher of government high school who was awarded as best head teacher of Kishoreganj district in 2018, facilitated the training sessions accompanied by some AEF project managers. Nafisa Khanam, executive director of AEF led the whole training event. The training session provided an extensive overview of various leadership components, administrative tools, life skill-based education, mentoring to enhance teachers’ skills, review and supervise the development of institution and the importance of the uses of teachers’ guide in the teaching process. Besides, the training stressed on the quality of head teachers, their roles and responsibilities and strengthening school monitoring through a comprehensive approach.

The training was conducted in accordance with the manual of the Secondary Education Sector Investment Program (SESIP) by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony. During the closing ceremony, teachers shared their experience and expressed gratitude to AEF for arranging such a worthwhile hands-on workshop. This training is expected to be helpful in enhancing teachers’ capabilities, leadership and augmenting the quality of education in Agami supported schools.
