KAB Teachers Training

A teachers' training session on "Improving Math Teaching Skills using Khan Academy Bangla (KAB)" in Grade III classroom was organized on 28-29 January 2020 at the AEF office in Dhaka. Six Grade III math teachers from six different schools in Dhaka (including five Agami supported schools) and two members of KAB team attended the training session. The goal of the training was to improve math teaching skills of the math teachers of Grade III.

Apart from KAB trainers, Marjuk Ahmed, consultant for KAB and deputy manager at Brac and Iffat Naomee, lecturer at IER, University of Dhaka conducted two sessions on assessment and lesson plan respectively during the concluding day.

Sessions included introducing the KAB platform, conducting classes using KAB methods and simulations. Important topics such as presentation of topics, lesson planning, conducting assessments and monitoring were also addressed. The training ended with participants receiving certificate of completion. The teachers are expected to use these techniques and contents in their classrooms throughout the year and KAB staff will monitor the progress monthly.
