School Program
Transforming Lives Through Education
School Program (SP) is Agami Inc.'s flagship program aiming to promote basic education for underprivileged children in Bangladesh. This program was started in 2003 in Bangladesh with only two schools. Over the years, it has gradually grown in terms of operation and the holistic coverage of direct beneficiaries under different projects. Since its inception, SP has directly supported over 50 schools nationwide, impacting more than 50,000 students and 2,500 teachers.
Generally, SP focuses on budget requests, reviews of the proposed annual budget requests, and allocating funds to support students’ tiffins, uniforms, teachers’ salaries, house rent, exercise books, stationery, study tours, and so on to ensure quality education for underprivileged children at various schools in Bangladesh. The program, however, operates based on the respective school’s needs and supports them from the primary to the higher secondary level. One of the primary interventions of this program—beyond the year-round activity cycle—is monitoring school activities, evaluating school performance to ensure result-based outcomes, and initiating strategic planning for continuous improvements.
