A New Project - Improving English Teaching (IET)

Effective September 1st, 2021 Tahsin Rouf (New Jersey, USA) will be serving as the interim lead coordinator for Improving English Teaching (IET), a new Programs, projects and initiatives (PPI) of Agami's service offerings for the Agami-sponsored schools, teachers, and children in Bangladesh. Rouf will serve in this interim role until a capable and committed lead coordinator is identified by the beginning of 2022.

In June 2021, the Board of Agami Inc. approved the separation of IET from Teachers' Training (TT) as well as a separate annual budget for the current year (FY2021). The Team Agami acknowledges and appreciates the role of Nafisa Khanam, lead coordinator of TT, who has been leading the IET activities under the TT services and operations for the past few years.

In the last few weeks, Rouf has been working with Khanam and Israt Sharmin for gathering IET-related information and potentials for the ongoing transition. Sharmin has been working as project manager for IET for the last few years. Prior to that, Israt was hired in 2016 to coordinate the Ready to Read (RtR) initiative under a joint collaboration between Agami Inc. (USA) and No Barrier Foundation (UK).

IET objectives are aligned to the core values of Agami and is another step in enforcing quality education for everyone.
