Hotline for Medical Support

In an effort to assist the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak, AEF has set up a hotline number through its Health for Education (HfE) program in collaboration with the Bangladesh Doctors’ Platform. The goal is to provide medical support during this crisis to the underprivileged children and their families those attend Agami supported schools. On May 2nd, 2020 HfE made this service available 24x7 to all Agami supported schools across Bangladesh. Since then, parents and guardians have been getting medical advice related to COVID-19 and other ailments from doctors through the helpline number. Additionally, each month, HfE organizes different health camps such as dental camps, eye camps and general medical camps in Agami supported schools in Dhaka.

HfE is developing a COVD-19 school operating protocol for all Agami-sponsored schools prior to school reopening to ensure the safety of students and staff, and to minimize the risk of the spread. Among other actions, this includes putting up advisory posters, training the school staff and teachers regarding social distancing, hand washing stations,  awareness campaigns on hygiene and health safety measures, running medical camps, supplying disinfectants, masks for teachers and students, nutrition camps and organizing awareness campaigns for girls' health education and sanitation.

The Shin Shin Group has donated 50,000 masks and a much-appreciated second donor has sponsored the hotline services. HfE requests your support and medicines to keep this crucial initiative going during this COVID-19 lockdown situation.
