Position Overview

The Business Development & Partnerships Manager will lead the organization’s efforts to secure strategic partnerships and funding through government contracts, donor programs, and corporate CSR initiatives. The role requires identifying opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, developing proposals, and negotiating agreements that support the organization’s growth and impact.

This position is ideal for a professional with strong experience navigating Bangladesh’s public sector, development ecosystem, and corporate CSR landscape.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government Partnerships & Contracts

  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with ministries, public education bodies, and government programs.

  • Monitor government tenders, RFPs, and funding opportunities related to education, digital transformation, and youth development.

  • Develop proposals, concept notes, and partnership frameworks for government collaboration.

  • Build relationships with relevant officials in ministries, directorates, and regulatory bodies.

  • Support contract negotiation and ensure compliance with procurement and reporting requirements.

2. Corporate CSR Partnerships

  • Develop partnerships with corporations seeking to invest in education through CSR programs.

  • Design CSR collaboration models aligned with the organization’s programs (e.g., digital classrooms, teacher training, STEM education).

  • Pitch partnership opportunities to corporate foundations and CSR teams.

  • Manage ongoing CSR partnerships, including reporting, impact communication, and renewal opportunities.

3. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement a strategic partnership pipeline.

  • Identify new funding streams including corporate partnerships, foundations, and development agencies.

  • Work with leadership to set revenue and partnership targets.

  • Maintain a CRM or partnership tracking system.

4. Proposal Development & Strategic Communication

  • Lead development of high-quality proposals, budgets, and presentations.

  • Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to design partnership offerings.

  • Prepare partnership decks, concept notes, and impact reports.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and partnership events.

  • Build relationships with development partners, NGOs, corporate leaders, and education stakeholders.

  • Strengthen the organization’s visibility within the education and development ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, International Development, Education, or related field.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, or government relations.

  • Experience working with government programs, donor-funded projects, or CSR initiatives in Bangladesh.

  • Strong understanding of Bangladesh’s education ecosystem and development sector.

  • Proven experience preparing successful proposals or securing partnerships.
