Enhancement of Learning Competency for the Most Marginal Students in Bandarban Using Technology-based Approach

An Agami-UNICEF Partnership in Bandarban, Bangladesh

Bandarban is one of the 3 hill districts of Bangladesh. The quality of life in this district is still far behind due to various reasons such as inaccessibility due to location, inadequacy of facilities, lack of communication etc. The educational system of this region, which has been regressive for a long time, has low standards and backwardness. Hence a long-term learning shortage can be observed among the students. According to the National Assessment of Secondary Students (NASS) report, Bandarban district lags behind the national average in almost every education indicator as well as the secondary NAR (NAR-Net Advanced Ratio) by 31.8 percentage points.
