Gala event with Bill Gates' favorite teacher Salman Khan
Agami's October Gala event will feature non-profit entrepreneur Sal Khan as the keynote speaker.Program detail:

- 8:10-8:30 Standup Comedy by Dhaya Lakshminarayanan, a "venture capitalist turned comedienne"

Born in a family of Bengali immigrants, Salman has captured the world's attention for his non-profit entrepreneurial mindset, "Let the world learn for free." His Khan academy offers free video tutorials on a wide array of subjects. These easy to comprehend tutorials have helped thousands of children around the world learn various topics they struggle with. For Sal's ability to present difficult concepts in very easy terms, Bill Gates calls Sal his favorite teacher (see CNN article).
In September 2010, Sal Received Google award of $2 million to translate his educational videos in different languages and appeared on CNN.
About Dhaya Lakshminarayanan
Dhaya is a San Francisco-based comedienne, television host, writer, business consultant, and ubergeek. Her life is comedy - including her traditional Indian upbringing, nerd-pride, childhood in the Deep South, socio-political happenings, and daily amusements in colorful San Francisco.
Before starting in the business of "show," she taught "Charm School"
at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she graduated
(twice). She's traveled to Cuba as a researcher, worked as a venture
capitalist, chosen to be Ms. August '06 Saffron Rare Threads, and
attended Democratic National Conventions (twice) as a journalist.
